INTEGRATION ARCHITECT (BOOMI)

About the Role

The Integration Architect provides technical leadership in the design, development, and operation of enterprise integration solutions. This role is responsible for driving integration strategy and delivering scalable, secure, and reusable integration services using Boomi and related technologies.

The successful incumbent will collaborate closely with business SMEs, product owners, application teams, and external vendors to deliver robust integration architectures that enable seamless data exchange across systems and channels.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of integration solutions across BSP technology platforms, with a strong focus on Boomi.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable integration architectures.
Lead integration design discussions, including API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, and data integration approaches.
Develop and maintain enterprise integration architecture standards, patterns, and reference models.
Design and document integration flows, data mappings, APIs, and message schemas to guide development teams.
Act as the integration subject matter expert in solution design forums, architecture boards, and vendor engagements.
Evaluate technical proposals, tools, and vendors, and provide recommendations aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
Ensure integration solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with governance and compliance requirements.
Support agile delivery teams by providing architectural guidance, participating in sprint planning, and resolving technical challenges.
Oversee development of reusable integration components, APIs, and shared services within the Boomi platform.
Work closely with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational support for integration services.
Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimisation of integration processes.
Contribute to the enterprise technology strategy, particularly in integration and API management domains.
Prepare technical reports, architecture artefacts, and presentations for senior stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Solution, Integration, or Software Architect, with a strong system integration background
Proven expertise in enterprise integration, middleware, and API-led architecture
Demonstrated hands-on experience with Boomi (AtomSphere platform) , including integration processes, API management, and connectors
Strong knowledge of integration patterns, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
Proven experience integrating enterprise platforms , including digital banking solutions such as Backbase and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Experience with integration for core banking platforms, particularly Oracle Flexcube products, including payments, customer, and account services
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and hybrid integration models
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience working in banking, financial services, or ICT/telecommunications environments
Proficiency in data formats and transformation techniques (JSON, XML, REST/SOAP APIs)
Strong understanding of integration security (OAuth2, JWT, encryption, API security)

Education and Preferred Certifications

Boomi Professional Developer or Architect Certification
TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
