Vendor Screening Criteria

1

Procurement Experience

6–8 years of procurement experience, preferably in software procurement / IT procurement / service-based industry

Profiles with 6–8 years relevant procurement experience

Contract Review & Management

Hands-on experience reviewing basic commercial/contract clauses

Should have worked on penalty, termination, pricing, liability/limited liability clauses

Contract Negotiation – MUST HAVE

Proven experience in vendor/contract negotiations, including commercial and contractual terms

Mandatory – do not shortlist profiles without negotiation experience

RFP / RFQ Management

Experience managing RFP/RFQ processes, vendor quotations and commercial evaluation

Should independently handle sourcing/RFP activities

Catalogue Pricing

Experience with catalogue pricing, rate cards, pricing structures and commercial comparisons

Hands-on experience preferred

Vendor Sourcing & Management

Experience identifying, evaluating and onboarding vendors/service providers

Strong vendor interaction and stakeholder management

PR–PO Process

End-to-end understanding of Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) process

Hands-on procurement operations experience required

Service Renewals

Experience managing contract/service renewals, including pricing negotiations and commercial terms

Renewal management experience is essential

SOP / Process Orientation

Experience working with or developing well-organized procurement SOPs/processes

Structured/process-oriented approach

Industry Preference

Software/IT procurement or service-based procurement experience

Manufacturing procurement can be considered if service/contract procurement exposure is strong
