Lead Product Designer (Consultant)

Job Summary:

As a Lead Product Designer (Consultant), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience strategy for key areas of the platform. This position allows you to independently influence product domains across acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization, ensuring that user experiences meet both customer needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and drive the UX strategy and execution for major product areas within the platform.
Lead discovery workshops, customer problem identification, journey mapping, and experience definition.
Collaborate with product managers and engineering leaders to identify strategic opportunities and shape product direction.
Drive user research initiatives, usability studies, and insight synthesis to enhance customer experience and business outcomes.
Create user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Define scalable interaction patterns and design standards while contributing to the evolution of the design system.
Provide design direction and constructive feedback to other designers as necessary.
Present design rationale, strategic thinking, and key learnings to cross-functional stakeholders.
Review releases pre- and post-launch using qualitative and quantitative data to ensure high-quality user experiences.
Drive design excellence while balancing speed, scalability, and business priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in Product Design, particularly in B2B and B2C platforms.
Strong expertise in UX strategy, interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking.
Proven experience owning large product areas and executing end-to-end design independently.
Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies and research practices.
Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Miro, Jira, and modern prototyping/design tools.
Strong portfolio showcasing complex problem-solving and polished UI execution.
Experience collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and product leadership.
Familiarity with utilizing AI/LLM tools to enhance research, design workflows, and ideation.
Excellent communication, storytelling, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver under tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in designing scalable systems and user experiences across diverse industries.
Background in both startup and enterprise environments, showcasing adaptability.
Knowledge of the latest design trends and technologies in product design.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Leadership experience mentoring junior designers and fostering design thinking culture.
