Automation Run Book Analyst

6–10 years of experience in IT Operations/Managed Services, with at least 2–3 years focused specifically on automation, orchestration, or run book engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one automation/orchestration platform: Ansible, ServiceNow Workflow/IntegrationHub/Orchestration, Rundeck, Microsoft SCORCH, or RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism).
• Proficiency in scripting languages — Python, PowerShell, Bash/Ksh — for building diagnostic and remediation automations.
• Solid understanding of ITSM tools (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus) and ability to integrate automation with incident/event management modules.
• Working knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics) and their alert/event data structures (APIs, webhooks).
• Understanding of Windows/Linux server administration fundamentals sufficient to script safe remediation actions.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and integration concepts for connecting monitoring, ITSM, and automation platforms.
• Experience documenting technical procedures/SOPs with clear, auditable, step-by-step logic (flowcharts/decision trees).
• Understanding of ITIL processes — Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.
