Payments Solution Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced  Payments Solution Architect  to support national-level payment system modernization initiatives. The role involves designing scalable, secure, and interoperable payment architectures aligned with global standards and central bank requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess existing national payment ecosystem, payment flows, and switch infrastructure
• Define  As-Is and To-Be payment architecture  for national payment systems
• Design  modern payment frameworks  including real-time payments, interoperability, and API-based ecosystems
• Conduct  gap analysis  across technology, governance, infrastructure, and security domains
• Evaluate payment switch performance, scalability, resilience, and standards compliance (ISO 20022, ISO 8583, PCI-DSS, PFMI)
• Develop  national payment modernization roadmap  (short, medium, and long-term)
• Provide advisory on payment system interoperability, settlement models, and cross-border payments
• Support stakeholder workshops and technical consultations with central bank and financial institutions

Required Experience

• Strong experience in  national payment systems / central bank environments
• Expertise in  real-time payments, RTGS, switches, and digital payment infrastructure
• Knowledge of  PFMI, ISO 20022, ISO 8583, PCI-DSS standards
• Experience in  payment architecture design and financial market infrastructure projects
