Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Lead to join a cross-functional software delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on software development, providing technical leadership and support to the India-based development team, and serving as the primary coordination point between the delivery team and the client's Tech Lead.

This is a senior role that requires both strong engineering skills and the ability to manage stakeholder communication effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute hands-on to software development using Java 21 and Spring Boot in a microservices environment
Design and develop REST APIs, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures
Integrate third-party systems and external APIs as required by the project
Serve as the primary technical reference and support person for the India-based development team
Provide day-to-day technical guidance, resolve blockers, and ensure code quality standards are upheld
Take ownership of coordination tasks including sprint reporting, progress updates, and risk escalation to the client's Tech Lead
Maintain clear and consistent communication across distributed teams and time zones

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development
Strong working knowledge of microservices architecture
Proficiency in REST API design and event-driven messaging systems
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Demonstrated experience integrating third-party systems and APIs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Prior experience working with European or international clients

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Apache Kafka, Confluent Platform, or Confluent Cloud
Familiarity with Apache Camel or a similar integration framework
Hands-on exposure to Azure and AKS
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
