Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Applications Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Access, Excel, VBA, and SQL technologies to develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications, reporting solutions, and automation tools. The role involves working with enterprise databases, financial systems, and legacy business applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and support advanced Microsoft Access applications.
Build Access front-end solutions integrated with SQL Server, Oracle, and enterprise financial systems.
Develop and maintain complex Excel-based solutions for workforce planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and operational processes.
Create and support VBA automation within Microsoft Access and Excel.
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and database integrations.
Analyze and document legacy Access and Excel applications, including dependencies, data flows, and business rules.
Support modernization and transition efforts for legacy business solutions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and improve business processes.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience developing advanced Microsoft Access applications.
5+ years of advanced Excel and VBA development experience.
Strong SQL development skills with SQL Server, Oracle, or similar RDBMS.
Experience integrating applications with enterprise databases and financial systems.
Experience supporting operational, workforce management, and financial reporting processes.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Hospitality, travel, airline, cruise, hotel, or tourism industry experience.
Workforce planning, labor allocation, scheduling, or forecasting solutions experience.
Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, or Power Automate.
SSRS and SSIS experience.
Snowflake, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence exposure.
