Sr. Software Engineer- Integration (VMO)

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer – Integration with strong expertise in backend engineering, cloud-native services, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing and building scalable microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integrations on AWS.

This role requires strong coding expertise along with experience working on integration platforms, asynchronous systems, and large-scale data processing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices and integration services on AWS.
• Build scalable APIs and distributed backend systems using Java, Kotlin, and/or Python.
• Implement event-driven and asynchronous architectures using messaging and streaming platforms.
• Develop resilient systems using distributed system patterns such as retries, idempotency, backpressure, and eventual consistency.
• Design API-first integration services for enterprise and product ecosystems.
• Build and manage large-scale data ingestion and export pipelines for batch and near real-time processing.
• Integrate enterprise applications and external platforms using APIs, messaging, and custom-built services.
• Ensure systems are secure, fault tolerant, observable, and operationally efficient.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Drive CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure automation, and automated testing initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Kotlin, and/or Python.
• Experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, messaging systems, pub/sub, or streaming platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases including schema design and optimization.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and integration patterns.
• Experience building data ingestion/export pipelines and backend integration workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern SDLC practices.

Good to Have

• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
• Exposure to AWS-native messaging and integration services.
• Experience building reusable integration frameworks or internal platforms.
• Knowledge of distributed data consistency and reconciliation strategies.
• AWS Certifications preferred.
