About the role
Position: Environmental Management & Safety Monitoring – Infrastructure Projects
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Management & Safety professional to support infrastructure projects through effective environmental monitoring, safety compliance, risk assessment, and implementation of HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS/HSE) requirements across infrastructure projects.
- Conduct regular environmental and safety inspections, audits, and site monitoring.
- Identify environmental and workplace safety risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor compliance with applicable environmental regulations, permits, standards, and project-specific EHS requirements.
- Support implementation and monitoring of Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and HSE plans.
- Monitor waste management, air and water quality, noise, pollution control, hazardous materials, and other environmental impacts.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, toolbox talks, and site safety observations.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with project HSE and environmental requirements.
- Investigate and report incidents, near misses, environmental non-conformities, and safety violations.
- Prepare HSE/environmental monitoring reports, inspection reports, audit findings, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with project management, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders on environmental and safety matters.
- Ensure timely closure of identified non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture and environmental awareness across project sites.
Required Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Environmental Management, EHS/HSE, or Safety Monitoring, preferably within infrastructure, construction, engineering, or large-scale development projects.
- Hands-on experience in environmental monitoring and site safety management.
- Strong understanding of Environmental Management Systems, HSE standards, risk assessment, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety documentation, audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
- Good understanding of construction/infrastructure site safety practices.
- Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience in environmental management and safety monitoring within infrastructure projects, with the ability to monitor site compliance, identify risks, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure adherence to environmental and HSE requirements.
