Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer – AWS to join our technology team supporting a leading global investment bank in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, ReactJS/Angular, AWS, Kafka, and DevOps , along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

The candidate will work closely with business, technology, and banking stakeholders to design, develop, deploy, and support scalable enterprise applications in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java 8+/11+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using ReactJS or Angular.
• Design, deploy, and support cloud-based applications using AWS services , including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, and IAM.
• Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases , including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
• Implement event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing using Kafka or other messaging platforms.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes .
• Apply best practices for application security, scalability, performance, availability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with business users, architects, technology teams, and banking stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
• Work effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones.
• Support evolving platform requirements and continuously improve application architecture and development processes.

• Banking or Financial Services domain experience
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of serverless architecture
• Experience with event-driven design
• Familiarity with API Gateway, enterprise security, and authentication/authorization patterns
• Exposure to cloud-native application development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology , or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Full Stack Java development.
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS .
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and distributed development environments .
