About the Role

We are hiring for our client, a global IT services organization, looking for an experienced L3 Oracle DBA to manage high-performance, mission-critical database environments.

Job Title: L3 Oracle DBA (Exadata / RAC / Performance Tuning)

Location: Frankfurt, Germany (2–3 days onsite / ~5 days a month)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA (Level 3) with strong expertise in Exadata, RAC, and Performance Tuning . The role involves managing large-scale, high-performance databases in a 24x7 global support environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for large-scale Oracle databases
• Manage Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC environments including build, administration, troubleshooting, and tuning
• Administer Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure), ASM, and Data Guard
• Perform backup and recovery using RMAN, Data Pump, Export/Import
• Maintain databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control
• Collaborate with development teams for issue analysis and resolution
• Participate in a 24x7 global support model

Required Qualifications

• 10–12 years of Oracle DBA experience, with 6+ years on Exadata
• Strong hands-on experience with Exadata (RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Infiniband switch, storage cell)
• Expertise in Exadata health checks, migration, resource management, and patching/upgrades
• Strong skills in database performance tuning, backup, and recovery
• Solid knowledge of SQL, performance tuning, and automation scripting
• Experience working on Solaris, Linux, AIX with shell scripting
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
• Familiarity with ITIL-based Change/Release Management (ITIL Foundation preferred)
