Job Description: Onboarding Specialist
Position Overview
The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for delivering a seamless
and engaging experience for all new joiners, ensuring compliance with
organizational policies while fostering a strong sense of belonging. This
role combines structured process management with culture-building
initiatives, making it pivotal in shaping first impressions and long-term
employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Orientation & Culture Integration

Conduct engaging orientation sessions that highlight company values,
mission, and culture.

Facilitate introductions to teams, mentors, and leadership to build
early connections.

Process & Compliance Management

Oversee completion of all onboarding documentation, background
checks, and legal requirements.

Coordinate with HR, IT, and facilities to ensure timely setup of
systems, accounts, and workspaces.

Maintain accurate onboarding records in HRIS systems.

Employee Experience

Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during their first
90 days.

Provide guidance, answer questions, and proactively address
concerns.

Collect feedback to continuously improve onboarding programs.

Partner with HR leadership to refine onboarding strategies.

Recommend enhancements that balance compliance with employee
engagement.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or
related field.

8–12 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or onboarding roles.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt
tone for diverse audiences.

Proficiency in HRIS systems and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft
Office, Slack, Trello).

Strong knowledge of compliance and process requirements is preferred.
