Role: Java Architect (Banking Domain)
Location: Geneva, Switzerland
Experience: 10+ Years
Employment Type: Permanent
Language Requirement: Advanced French and Advanced English
Work Mode: 100% Onsite – 5 days/week from office

Must-Have Skills

• Technical architecture ownership at component and software level
• Strong hands-on coding experience with Java, Spring / Spring Boot, SQL
• Experience with Microservices / Modular architectures and REST APIs
• Strong understanding of design patterns (GOF) and clean code practices (TDD, SOLID)
• Experience with RDBMS and distributed data concepts
• Ability to provide L3 support and collaborate closely with DevOps teams

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Front-end exposure with Angular / JavaScript
• Prior experience in Banking / Trading / Asset Management domains
• Exposure to advanced architecture styles:
  • Event-driven architecture
  • CQRS
  • Hexagonal Architecture
  • Data Hub
  • Lambda/Kappa Architecture
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and modeling techniques (UML, BPMN, C4 Models)
• Experience with NoSQL / Key-Value / Object Store / Search Engines
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code or equivalent)
• Knowledge of domains such as Rebalancing, Taxation, Valuation, Compliance, and Restitution
