Job Summary
The Infrastructure Monitoring Expert will lead the planning, design, and
execution of advanced structural health monitoring (SHM) and Geomonitoring
solutions across complex infrastructure projects in India and abroad.
The role requires deep technical expertise combined with leadership
capabilities to drive innovation, ensure system reliability, and deliver
high-value insights for asset performance, risk mitigation, and lifecycle
management.
This position will act as a subject matter authority, guiding
multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with clients and stakeholders, and
contributing to the evolution of digital monitoring platforms and predictive
analytics frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership

Lead conceptualisation, design, and implementation of large-scale
infrastructure monitoring and Geomonitoring for national and international
projects.

Define monitoring plans for complex assets such as tunnels, bridges,
metros, dams, underground structures, and industrial facilities.

Provide expert-level interpretation of structural behaviour using
real-time and historical data.

Establish best practices, standards, and methodologies for monitoring
systems across projects.
Project Management & Execution

Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle including planning, deployment,
commissioning, and operations.

Manage multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and subcontractors for monitoring
system delivery.

Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and performance standards.

Drive timely resolution of critical structural or system anomalies.
Advanced Data Analysis & Innovation

Lead advanced analytics including predictive maintenance, anomaly
detection, and risk forecasting using AI/ML tools.

Drive development and enhancement of digital platforms (e.g., monitoring
dashboards, data visualization systems, integrated platforms).

Integrate IoT, SCADA, and cloud-based solutions for scalable monitoring
systems.

Develop digital twins and data-driven decision-support systems for
infrastructure assets.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary technical interface with clients, consultants, and
authorities.

Provide advisory services on monitoring strategies, risk assessment, and
asset management.

Deliver high-impact presentations, technical reports, and insights to
senior stakeholders.
System Reliability & Governance

Ensure high system uptime, data accuracy, and robustness of monitoring
infrastructure.

Define protocols for calibration, validation, and maintenance of
monitoring systems.

Establish data governance, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks.
Business Development & Growth

Support business development through technical proposals, solution
positioning, and client engagement.

Identify new opportunities in emerging sectors such as smart
infrastructure, digital monitoring, and asset lifecycle management.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil / Structural / Electrical /
Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
Experience
-
10–25 years of relevant experience in infrastructure monitoring,
structural health monitoring (SHM), or Geomonitoring.

Proven experience in large and complex infrastructure projects (tunnels,
metros, bridges, dams, high-rise structures, underground works).
-
Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and high-value
projects.
Technical Expertise
-
Deep understanding of structural behaviour, analysis, and performance
assessment.

Extensive experience with monitoring instruments: strain gauges,
accelerometers, displacement sensors, tilt meters, piezometers,
extensometers, etc.

Strong knowledge of:

Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ)

SCADA and remote monitoring platforms

IoT-based monitoring architectures

Geospatial and time-series data analysis

Experience in AI/ML applications for predictive analytics and anomaly
detection.

Proficiency in data analytics, automation, and visualization tools
(preferred).
