RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze and compare functional differences between Base Model and New Model Forklifts.
• Make Component Design Concept Paper(CDCP)
• Prepare detailed Function Design Documents including:
o System architecture
o Function lists
o Feature differences
o Mapping tables
• Develop evaluation instructions for system validation.
• Conduct vehicle-level testing to validate functional implementation and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and quality.
• Maintain and update documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.

•8-10 years of experience

• The position is based in Japan reporting to Business unit in Japan/India
Join a dynamic team working on the Function Design and Process Development of the Main Controller for Forklift Systems.
This project focuses on analyzing functional differences between forklift models, creating detailed design documentation,
and enhancing system engineering processes to support next-generation industrial vehicles.
Function Design Engineer
System Engineer
• Review and understand existing system engineering processes and documentation.
• Identify improvement areas in workflows, templates, and review mechanisms.
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve development efficiency and quality.
• Standardize and update process documentation (e.g., flowcharts, guidelines).
• Collaborate with system engineers to gather feedback and align process changes.
• Monitor process and suggest corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
• Knowledge in Mechanical System – Mainly Forklift Mechanism and Control objects
PREFFERED SKILLS
• Prior experience in automotive or industrial vehicle domains.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and vehicle control units.
• Experience in system architecture, function design documentation, and software development processes.
• Proficiency in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of vehicle testing and evaluation planning.
• Familiarity with Forklift or Industrial Vehicle Systems is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with:
o System Engineering
o SW design
o Vehicle level Test and System Qualification
o ISO 26262
o FMEA
o CANalyzer
o DOORS
o Enterprise Architect
