Job Description: ADAS Architect
Location: Ingolstadt
Experience: 10–15 years (minimum 5+ years in ADAS/Automotive Software Architecture)
Employment Type: Full-time
Language Requirement: first preference Native and second preference EU citizen with C1-level German proficiency & English
Mode: Hybrid- 3 days office
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ADAS Architect to lead the design and development of advanced driver assistance systems for next-generation vehicles. The role involves defining system architecture, ensuring compliance with automotive standards, and driving innovation in safety, perception, and autonomous functionalities. The ADAS Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and OEMs to deliver scalable and future-proof solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Define end-to-end ADAS/Automated Driving system architecture, covering sensors, perception, fusion, decision, and control domains.
Translate functional and performance requirements into system and software architecture.
Evaluate and integrate sensor technologies (camera, radar, LiDAR, ultrasonic, GPS/IMU).
Drive the development of real-time embedded software, middleware, and interfaces.
Ensure compliance with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, AUTOSAR, ISO/SAE 21434).
Work with AI/ML engineers for perception and sensor fusion algorithms.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to ensure seamless integration.
Perform system-level trade-off analysis (safety, cost, power, and performance).
Define and review system validation strategies (MIL, SIL, HIL, and vehicle testing).
Act as a technical authority and mentor for ADAS engineers.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Skills
• Experience with sensor fusion frameworks and deep learning algorithms.
• Familiarity with simulation platforms ( IPG CarMaker, PreScan, VTD, etc.).
• Exposure to SOA-based architectures and cloud integration for connected ADAS features.
• Leadership in cross-functional, multi-site teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
