Design Engineer & Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled design engineer for our Automotive team, with in depth knowledge on product design & development. You should have strong  knowledge in CAD, Engineering Drawings, DFM, Change Management and Communicating with JOEMS & suppliers. JLPT Certification of N2 & above with  immediate availability to work in Japan will be preferred 

Required Skills

• Experience in Product design & development, Project management, VAVE & system engineering requirements 
• Experience in design of Automobile Switches, Gear Shifts, Electronic Devices, Materials knowledge & Manufacturing of Plastic Components. 
• Design tool knowledge of CATIA V5 for mechanical design / modelling. 
• Good knowledge in GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up Analysis, engineering drawings, Parts list & Quality inspection list. 
• Strong understanding in concepts to be developed considering DFM, DFA, DFR, DFX etc 
• Strong knowledge on Customer specification matrix/list & interpretate to convert it into design change document 
• Proven work experience as a key customer connects for technical discussions 
• Strong knowledge in electronics engineering equipment process and practice 
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements at system and product level 
• Working experience in use of CAD tools, understanding on CAE/CFD tools & MS Office Tools, 
• Excellent communication, Presentation and Project Management skills 
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment 

Qualification & Educational requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive Engineering/Production Engineering, or a related field
