10+ years of relevant experience (L4) |
| Location: |

Role Purpose:
Data Migration Lead to support a core banking transformation program for a
client based in the Philippines. The lead will own the data migration
stream in its entirety, including strategy, driving requirement analysis,
and To-Be solution design and integrations. This is a core banking
implementation role. The candidate must have hands-on, end-to-end
experience delivering core banking transformation programs (not
advisory-only exposure), and must be comfortable working directly with
product vendors to challenge, validate, and finalize the To-Be system
design.
Key Responsibilities:
MULTIVENDOR, MULTI-COUNTRY TEAM
- Analyze data requirements and design solutions.
-
Define the project-specific data migration strategy, approach, and plan,
covering migration scope, methods, tooling, the reconciliation
framework, and lifecycle deliverables in full alignment with the
program's Data Migration and Cutover Policy.
-
Own the workstream end to end. Analyze data requirements, design the
To-Be migration solution, and drive requirement and design sign-off with
business and technology stakeholders.
-
Manage all data migration activities and cross-team dependencies,
coordinating the Data Mapping, Data Profiling & Cleansing,
Reconciliation, and Static/Master Data workstreams, each staffed by
dedicated specialists whose outputs this role orchestrates.
-
Plan and sequence the migration lifecycle across its full arc: profiling
and cleansing, mapping and build, iterative migration test runs, dress
rehearsals, and the production cutover weekend.
-
Drive data mapping between legacy source systems (core platform,
end-user computing applications, and head-office systems) and the target
lending platform, validating mapping logic and transformation rules with
source and target subject-matter experts.
-
Support SIT/UAT test planning and execution, triage integration and data
defects, and drive resolution with vendor and delivery teams through to
closure.
-
Lead migration validation and reconciliation for the core banking
modules. Record counts and control totals across every stage, through
mock loads, dress rehearsals, and production data migration, and agree
acceptance criteria for reconciliation variances with end users.
-
Support cutover planning and hypercare through go-live, ensuring
readiness against the program's formal entry/exit criteria at each gate
(tool test, dress rehearsal, cutover / go-no-go).
-
Prepare regular status reporting on migration progress. Identify,
resolve, and escalate risks and issues proactively, particularly where
cross-team or vendor dependencies put milestones at risk.
-
Manage stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor
organizations, including presenting migration approaches, options, and
risk positions directly to senior stakeholders and steering forums.
Key Requirements:
-
10+ years of hands-on data migration / integration implementation
experience within a core banking transformation program. Candidates with
advisory-only or purely functional-consulting backgrounds will not meet
the bar for this role.
-
Practical, personally delivered experience across the full migration
lifecycle: data mapping, profiling, cleansing, reconciliation design,
mock/trial loads, dress rehearsals, and production cutover execution.
-
Working knowledge of core banking data structures for lending products:
the facility / limit / loan / transaction hierarchy, collateral and
guarantee linkage, schedules, accruals, and balances. Strongly preferred
given this release's lending scope.
-
A strong grasp of reconciliation principles: record counts versus
control totals, multi-level reconciliation (source, transformation,
target, and GL), and the discipline of audit-ready evidence.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable
presenting solution options, trade-offs, and status directly to senior
stakeholders and vendor leadership.
-
Must be based in the Philippines for the entire duration of the project.
The exact work location will be communicated after client confirmation.
Good to Have:
-
Prior experience acting as techno-functional SME across core banking
plus one or more of Payments, Trade Finance, or Lending domains.
-
Direct implementation experience on a modern packaged lending or
universal-banking platform, particularly customer, lending, and trade
data migration.
-
Experience operating within a formal, policy-governed migration
structure with defined KPIs, standard deliverable templates, and
entry/exit gate criteria, rather than ad hoc migration delivery.
-
Exposure to multi-country, multi-release transformation programs, where
lessons learned from one market's release are systematically carried
into the next.
-
Familiarity with data masking and production-data handling controls for
non-production test environments.
Technical Skills:
-
Migration Lifecycle:
Data mapping, data profiling, data cleansing, mock/trial loads, dress
rehearsals, production cutover execution
-
Reconciliation:
Record counts vs control totals, multi-level reconciliation (source,
transformation, target, GL), audit-ready evidence
-
Core Banking Data:
Lending data structures – facility / limit / loan / transaction
hierarchy, collateral and guarantee linkage, schedules, accruals,
balances
-
Source-to-Target:
Mapping logic and transformation rules across legacy core platform,
end-user computing applications, and head-office systems
-
Delivery:
SIT/UAT support, defect triage, entry/exit gate criteria, cutover and
hypercare
-
Controls:
Data masking and production-data handling for non-production
environments
