Who We Are Looking For:
Molex is seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to be part of our strong Engineering team to develop Consumer device integration (CDI) that we are bringing to market. You will be a part of our CDI Team and collaborate with our cross functional team globally.
In connected Mobility Business Unit, we are at the forefront of advancing vehicle technology. From innovative solutions such as wireless chargers & USBs, we design and manufacture products that enable high speed & wireless charging and data transfer.
In this role you’ll develop new CDI products and support current products. Perform mechanical characteristic testing of new and existing products. Responsible for designing CDI products from concept to release. Support the product development and the enhancements of new and existing automotive CDI products by designing experiments to qualify designs and materials against customer specifications and functional parameters, optimize the design for cost and quality by conducting experiments and FEA simulations, and lead troubleshooting and engineering analysis efforts on failed parts during validation testing to find root-causes and recommend design changes.
Skill Requirements:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from recognized university
· Master ‘s degree in mechanical engineering is added advantage
· Certification is added advantage like ASME14.5 GD&T, Six sigma, etc...
Experience:
· 8-10 years of design and product development experience (NPD)
· Well-rounded experience across electromechanical /automotive /plastic component design
· Hands on GD&T, Tolerance analysis, DFM/A, DFMEA, and APQP/PPAP processes.
· Deep familiarity with material selection, design principles and manufacturing process
· Hands on PLM / PDM and product release process & QMS (quality management system)
· Expertise in CAD NX – (additional tool knowledge is added advantage)
· Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
Role and responsibilities:
· Lead new product development projects from concept through preparation of turnover to manufacturing.
