Your Job
You will be driving design and development projects for PSBU Cable Assembly with a focus on customer requirements and business value. In this role, you will have full ownership of your projects and act as the primary point of contact for any technical queries from customers. Your key responsibilities include capturing the voice of the customer and developing innovative, competitive concepts that address customer needs. You will accurately communicate design requirements to internal and external stakeholders, including sample manufacturing, process engineers, quality assurance, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and testing labs.

We are part of the Power & Signal Business Unit (PSBU) at Molex. We provide innovative and integrated solutions in the design and development of cable assemblies and electronic solutions, offering end-to-end support from concept to launch. We serve a global and diverse customer base, with cable assemblies used in various market segments such as consumer, automotive, datacom, and medical (excluding cables that come into direct contact with the human body).
What You Will Do
Participate in customer calls related to projects, regardless of time zone.
Review feasibility based on the customer's Voice of Customer (VOC).
Prepare technical information for costing, drawings, and related specifications.
Release and update drawings, specifications, and validation results in Work Manager / Teamcenter.
Initiate and track Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR) as necessary.
Lead design reviews and participate in PFMEA and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
Establish product qualification plans and reliability test sequences in coordination with the Cross-Functional Team (CFT).
Provide disposition for First Article Inspection (FAI) reports on new parts in cases of deviations.
Coordinate with the Sample Room to prepare samples and evaluate necessary changes.
Ensure compliance with all Molex policies and procedures in related areas.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics).
4+ years of post-qualification experience in product design and development, preferably in cable assemblies.
Understanding of the entire Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) cycle, including product design, development, validation, and part qualification.
Experienced in communicating and presenting at various organizational levels, with the ability to explain technical challenges to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong work planning and prioritization skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
Working knowledge of CAD software such as NX (UG), PLM tools like Teamcenter, and ALM tools like Polarion.
Good understanding of change management processes.
Familiarity with DFMEA, GD&T, DFM, and pFMEA.
Hands-on experience with the product development cycle, PPAP, and APQP processes.
