Molex is seeking an experienced Quality Leader – Drawing Quality & Engineering Process Excellence to drive technical drawing quality, 3D models quality, engineering documentation compliance, and process excellence across engineering team.
This role will serve as the subject matter expert for engineering drawing and CAD quality, ensuring all released documentation meets internal standards, industry requirements, and customer expectations. The successful candidate will lead quality audits, establish quality frameworks, track KPIs, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with global engineering teams to improve engineering data accuracy and process adherence.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in mechanical design, drawing standards, GD&T, quality management systems, and engineering process governance, coupled with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
We seek someone who not only has a solid background in Industrial communication or Automotive but also shines in mentoring team members through stellar communication. Strong communication skills are must-have for this position, one who is a great communicator and capable of articulating complex concepts clearly.
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related Engineering discipline.
· 10–15 years of experience in Mechanical Product Design, Engineering Documentation, CAD Modeling, and Drawing Release activities.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Drawing Quality, Design Review, Engineering Quality, or Technical Auditing roles.
· Strong experience in quality process development, KPI tracking, and quality improvement programs.
· Experience working with global and cross-functional engineering teams.
· Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Teamcenter.
· Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD), Sustaining Engineering, and Engineering Change Management processes.
As a Quality Leader, you will be responsible for:
· Own engineering drawing quality, 3D CAD quality, and documentation compliance across the organization.
· Define and govern engineering quality standards, auditing processes, and release requirements.
· Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, GD&T, customer, and internal engineering standards.
· Lead quality audits, KPI reviews, and governance activities to drive process adherence.
· Drive continuous improvement programs to reduce defects, improve first-pass quality, and enhance engineering efficiency.
· Lead root cause analysis and CAPA activities for drawing, documentation, and process quality issues.
· Provide technical leadership in GD&T, drawing interpretation, 3D model quality, and engineering documentation practices.
· Mentor engineers in the team and promote a culture of quality, compliance, and customer focus.
· Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Design principles.
· Advanced proficiency in interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
· Expert knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
· Strong understanding of 3D Tolerance Stack Analysis (3DTSA).
· Experience with design for manufacturability and design for inspection principles.
· Knowledge of engineering change management processes.
· Drawing Quality Assurance and Technical Auditing
· Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Process Compliance
· Root Cause Analysis and Risk Management
· KPI Development, Quality Metrics, and Continuous Improvement
· Proficiency in Siemens NX for 2D drawing review, 3D model validation, and design quality assessment.
· Mandatory hands-on experience with Teamcenter PLM, including engineering change management.
· Leadership, Coaching, Stakeholder Management, and Customer Focus

· Data analysis and reporting tools
