You will play a key role in partnering with stakeholders, translating business requirements into innovative, scalable, secure and maintainable IT solutions. You will play a key role in the technical expertise and capability of the Application Platforms team, which delivers custom solutions for NXP using amongst others the Mendix development platform. In this role you will contribute to the Centre of Excellence for the Mendix low-code platform within NXP.

Business Process Expert Role Overview

As Business Process Expert (BPE), you are the crucial link between NXP’s business processes and IT solutions. You will combine your learning and understanding of the business processes with your technical insights and expertise of our application platforms (i.c. Mendix ) to translate evolving business needs into future-ready IT solutions, working within Agile teams to incrementally deliver features and improvements. Your responsibilities will span from requirements gathering and analysis to solution design and implementation, testing, technical guidance and operational support.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business Process & Solution Translation

- Translate business requirements into IT solutions for given business process.

- Ensure alignment between business needs, IT strategy, and enterprise architecture.

- Maintain in-depth expertise of how our application platforms can contribute to support and accelerate business processes with IT solutions.

Agile Team Participation

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Developers to define architecture, scope, timing, and resource needs.

- Participate in PI Planning, create iteration plans, and commit to team objectives.

- Take on flexible roles within Agile teams, such as Scrum Master, Lead Developer, Technical expert, or team member responsible for configuration and testing.

Application Control & Quality

- Carry responsibility for application control, including business logic functionality and implementation quality.

- Contribute to the definition of and ensure adherence to solution architecture and enterprise standards by implementation teams.

- Provide technical leadership on the Mendix platform

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Build and maintain productive networks with business representatives, architects, and IT partners.

- Organize acceptance activities and discuss solution alternatives with stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Support

- Support operational business solutions, driving to operational excellence, and contribute to automation for continuous delivery.

- Broaden expertise within the solution team and across other teams.

 

Qualifications

Required:

- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, with expertise in high-code (Java) and low-code development

- Experience with low-code (and high-code) SW development, working in Agile teams ( Mendix Advanced or Expert certification)

- Master’s degree in information technology, a related field or equivalent experience

- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle and software engineering concepts, system&software architecture, integration principles, UX and standards.

- Ability to teach and mentor junior developers.
