Your Job
As a MES Developer at Koch, you will be a critical part of an international team
designing, developing, and delivering Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
solutions that support global manufacturing operations. You will lead MES
development efforts and collaborate closely with manufacturing, IT, and quality
teams to implement scalable and integrated MES functionalities. Your work will
empower manufacturing processes by delivering innovative digital solutions that
align with Koch’s commitment to operational excellence.
Our Team
You will join Georgia-Pacific’s Digital Manufacturing team, a dynamic and
collaborative group focused on developing and supporting manufacturing
technologies across Koch Industries. The team spans multiple geographies and
works closely with business and technology leaders to drive innovation in
manufacturing IT.

What You Will Do
 Design, develop, and implement MES solutions using Ignition and other MES
platforms to support manufacturing operations
 Lead MES development activities including system configuration, code
reviews, testing, and deployment
 Integrate MES applications with manufacturing equipment, ERP systems, and
other enterprise applications to enable seamless data flow
 Develop and optimize SQL Server databases to support MES data
management and reporting requirements
 Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and IT teams to ensure MES
solutions meet business needs and compliance standards
 Troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve MES applications for
performance, scalability, and reliability
 Document system designs, configurations, and user guides to facilitate
knowledge sharing and team enablement
 Stay current with industry trends, emerging MES technologies, and best
practices to recommend continuous improvements

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

 5 to 14 years of professional experience in MES development and
implementation
 Strong hands-on experience with Ignition and other MES platforms, with at
least 2 end-to-end MES implementations
 Proficient in SQL Server with extensive experience in database design and
management
 Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and domain expertise in
manufacturing industries
 Proven ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them
into effective technical solutions
 Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
 Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
 Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, applications, and technologies

What Will Put You Ahead
 Experience with integration frameworks and industrial protocols such as OPC-
UA and MQTT
 Familiarity with programming languages including Python, Java, or C#
 Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement
methodologies
 Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
 Humble competence: ownership of your progress, accountability for
successes and learning from mistakes
 Comfortable respectfully challenging ideas and decisions at all organizational
levels
 Self-motivated with a high attention to detail, able to work independently and
in team settings
 Flexibility to work extended hours as required during project phases such as
SIT, UAT, or hyper-care
