HARDWARE DESIGN ENGINEER

Who We Are Looking For:
Molex is seeking a dynamic HW design Engineer to be part of our strong
Engineering Team to
develop new products that we are bringing to market. You will be a part of our
cross functional team
and collaborate internationally with our design teams.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors or master’s in engineering in the field of Electrical /
Electronics & Communications
Engineering or equivalent
8+ years of experience in hands on automotive electronic product design and
development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop wireless charging solutions from concept to prototypes. Added
advantage if any
experience into wireless power transferring products, inductive coil design
etc.
Experience with design for EMC compliance and related EMI issue resolution
Experience in board bring-up and prototype testing
Experience on communication protocols like CAN, LIN, I2C & SPI etc.
Experience with schematic capture and layout techniques using Altium
Designer.
Strong background of design support tools, including simulation, WCCA (worst
case circuit
analysis), DFMEA, design reviews,
Thorough documentation and revision control practices
Create custom electrical/electronic designs for automotive applications
Create/complete block diagrams, schematics, PCB layout, component selection,
worst case
circuit analysis, testing, and design verification
Develop design validation plans (DVP), obtain customer approval, and
initiate all laboratory,
bench, and simulated product-tests in compliance with the DVP
Support customer’s in-vehicle tests on electrical hardware systems
Use risk reduction tools to perform simulations
Use knowledge of material costs and costing processes to determine the
impact on designs
Design for maximum cost effectiveness while meeting all customer performance
requirements
Ensure that the product design complies with all product requirements and
final customer
specifications
Interface with the intra departmental development teams such as electrical,
mechanical,
manufacturing, quality, and marketing
Support mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality in the
development and
implementation of work instructions for new and ongoing products
Interface with customers and other Molex engineering groups and suppliers
Lead design review meetings
Understand, support, and contribute to current Molex Total Quality
Management (TQM), Six
Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or
Health and
Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and
procedures
