We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Data Engineer / BI
Developer to support the Global Engineering team. The role focuses on
extracting and transforming enterprise data from SAP systems, developing
optimized datasets, and building analytical dashboards using Power BI. The
candidate will leverage automation tools to streamline data workflows and
improve reporting efficiency. Responsibilities also include data modeling,
SQL-based transformations, and master data stewardship activities such as
ensuring data quality, standardization, and governance of key master data
elements. The role supports engineering and business teams by delivering
reliable data solutions and actionable insights.
Our Team
We are the Centralized Master Data Team playing a pivotal role in supporting a
wide array of business units and divisions globally across Molex. This team
ensures integrity, accessibility, and governance of materials data across the
enterprise, enabling efficient product development, compliance, and
operational excellence. This position involves interacting and working with
Product & Project Engineers, the Material Science team, Operations, Supply
chain and the Product Stewardship team in managing materials data and
libraries for global plants and business units.
What You Will Do

Build and maintain scalable data models, semantic layers, and advanced DAX
measures in Power BI to ensure efficient and high-performance reporting.

Extract, transform, and integrate data from enterprise systems such as
Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, etc. to create reliable
datasets for analytics and reporting.

Analyze enterprise datasets to identify trends, KPIs, and actionable
insights that support business planning and operational improvements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Quality, Supply
Chain, Purchasing, and Finance to translate business requirements into
scalable data solutions while driving automation and process improvements.

Establish and enforce data management best practices, including data
quality, data integration, and data governance.

Responsible for deduplication, classifying, and managing the data stored in
SAP & Teamcenter. This includes creating data structures, defining
attributes, and establishing naming conventions.

Perform data quality checks, deduplication, and classification of master
data across SAP and engineering systems to ensure consistency and
reliability of enterprise data.

Manage and govern Master data activities for Material Master, BOM, Routing,
Work center and other ERP modules of SAP by enforcing data standards, naming
conventions, and governance policies to ensure consistency and accuracy
across systems to help make informed decisions to the users.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor of Engineering
(Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical/Electrical/Electronics & Communication or
similar domains).

2-4 years Industrial knowledge in any large or medium scale manufacturing
organization experienced in Data Engineering or in a similar role, with a
strong track record in designing and developing BI solutions.

Strong proficiency in data visualization principles, with the ability to
convert complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Advanced expertise in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data
modeling techniques.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including
SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

Proficient in SQL with solid experience working with relational databases.
-
Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data integration
principles.

Self-driven and proactive, capable of working independently while managing
multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Ability to mass upload data in SAP using LSMW, Batch processing, Quadrate or
other similar tools.

Flexible working night shifts when required to support global business
operations.

Ability to think in alternative ways to grasp, improvise and complete any
given task with high accuracy.

Develop alternative ways to increase Molex capabilities, reduce costs, and
leverage corporate skills.

Ownership of tasks and deadlines with positive attitude, resilience, and
adaptability.

What Will Put You Ahead

Knowledge of cloud platforms like Amazon Web Service, Microsoft Azure etc.

Explore and adopt emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to improve data analysis, automation,
and advanced analytics capabilities.

Python Scripting knowledge with NumPy and Pandas libraries will be a double
advantage.

Contribute ideas and solutions proactively, demonstrating quick learning to
new tools, platforms, or processes.

Understand the product development lifecycle and contribute to industrial
processes.

Exhibit strong analytical thinking and problem-solving using tools like 8D,
