Job Description – Cloud Engineer L3 (Managed Services)
Experience – 8–15 years in L3 cloud infrastructure support and administration
of Windows
and Linux platforms.
Location – Noida/Pune
Education: BE/B.Tech
Job Summary: Airtel Cloud Solutions is looking for a senior hands-on Cloud
Engineer L3 to
own and resolve complex infrastructure issues for enterprise managed services
customers.
You will be the final escalation point for Windows and Linux workloads running
on private
and public cloud platforms. Deep expertise across OS internals,
virtualisation, cloud
networking, security, and automation is mandatory.
Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end L3 incident resolution for managed services customers on
Windows
and Linux within defined SLAs
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting on OS, network, and cloud infrastructure
issues
including kernel panics, boot failures, storage faults, and performance
degradation
• Execute RHEL 7.x to 8.x/9.x and Ubuntu OS upgrades including pre-upgrade
assessment, execution, and rollback
• Conduct root cause analysis on P1/P2 incidents and deliver structured RCA
reports to
customers
• Manage patching cycles for Windows and Linux servers and maintain patch
compliance reporting for managed customers
• Drive infrastructure automation using Ansible for provisioning,
configuration
management, and routine operations
• Plan and implement disaster recovery between primary and secondary sites and
conduct periodic DR drills
• Implement and audit security hardening on Windows and Linux as per CIS
benchmarks and customer security policies
• Manage and troubleshoot DNS, SMTP, and LDAP services for managed customers
• Develop operational scripts and utilities using Shell, Python, PowerShell,
SED, and
AWK
• Lead change management activities including hotfix deployments, platform
upgrades,
and emergency changes
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and own runbooks, SOPs, and operational playbooks
Technical Skills
• Deep knowledge of RHEL 7/8/9, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu 20.x/22.x, and Windows
Server 2016/2019/2022
• Strong understanding of Linux internals including kernel parameters, memory
management, systemd, cgroups, and boot sequence troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of Windows internals including registry, event log
analysis,
crash dump interpretation, and performance counter analysis
• Advanced knowledge of RHEL HA clustering using Pacemaker and Corosync and
Windows Server Failover Clustering
• Deep knowledge of LVM, disk partitioning, ext4, XFS, NFS, and iSCSI on Linux
• Strong command over Linux networking tools including ip, ss, tcpdump,
iptables,
nftables, and netstat
• Sound knowledge of SELinux, AppArmor, PAM, SSH hardening, and sudo policy
management
• Sound knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Defender, and
CIS-
based Windows hardening
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, and
Grafana
• Experience with backup tools such as NetBackup, TSM, Veritas, or Commvault
including restore validation
• Hands-on with Ansible playbooks with minimum 2 years experience in
production
environments
• Strong Python and Shell scripting and PowerShell skills with minimum 2 years
production experience
• Good knowledge of Docker and Jenkins with exposure to container lifecycle
support
• Strong handle on Red Hat Satellite and WSUS/SCCM for patch and repository
management
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing, and firewall
concepts in
cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change
management in managed services context
• Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus

• Senior-level ownership and accountability for customer outcomes and SLA
adherence
• Ability to lead critical incident bridges and drive resolution under
pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication for RCA documentation and
customer-
facing updates
• Strong documentation discipline and ability to coach and mentor junior engineers
