PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide Co-ordination and facilitation support to Molex
manufacturing plants and customers
to ensure that PCN for customers are managed in accordance with Molex PCN
policy and
customer requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Act as Liaison for Customer and Molex Plants to address questions or
concerns related to PCN completion.
Ensure that all requirements for PCN approval are documented and managed
directly with the PCN initiating
location prior to submission to the customer.
2 Work with Plants and Design centers to collate, verify, and approve PCN
qualification data before submission to
customers, ensuring compliance with Molex PCN policy and customer
requirements.
3 Provide special customer approval in SAP NetWeaver upon approval from
customer.
4 Periodic PCN status update to customers.
5 Coordinate customer-specific PCN requirements and ensure consistent
execution in alignment with Molex PCN
policies and processes.
6 Facilitate alignment between Manufacturing Plants, Product Management, and
customer stakeholders by
tracking buffer stock planning, qualification activities, and transition
readiness for manufacturing location
transfers, tooling transfers, obsolete and other supply-impacting PCNs
7 Review Customer Facing Documentation (CFD) for Customer compliance
requirements and challenge Local
Coordinators (LC) when revisions are required.
8 Evaluate Molex impacted parts against Customer Part number/ Approved Vendor
List (AVL) and coordinate
with Customer teams to resolve discrepancies.
9 Prepare Customer-specific PCN templates and verify Impact Analysis Reports
against customer impact lists
received from stakeholders.
10 Conduct weekly follow-ups on submitted PCNs and track approval status.
11 Coordinate with Local Coordinators, Product Managers, and Change
Coordinators to obtain complete customer
PCN checklist information.
12 Develop and maintain regular PCN performance metrics and dashboards,
including approval cycle time,
customer response time, overdue actions, qualification status, and rejection
trends.
13 Collaborate with the Global Account Management (GAM) team on strategic,
urgent, or business-critical PCNs.
14 Ensure Horizon PCN Report is generated and shared to the customer in
advance to notify them of upcoming
changes.
15 Ensure PCN Qualification data and samples are shared to the customer while
officially submitting the PCN’s.
16 Proactively identify gaps in Molex/Customer PCN process and drive internal
improvements to enhance
customer satisfaction & reduce PCN rejections.
17 Provide root cause analysis and internal improvements for any PCN
rejections.
18 Drive PCN activities without major escalations, build a good rapport with
customers.
19 Utilize internal PCN reports to ensure customers are notified of all change
types that need to be notified as per
their PCN procedure and process.
20 Support customer Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) by coordinating PCN-related
actions, providing status
updates, and tracking closure of customer commitments.
21 Lead PCN-related customer escalations and coordinate cross-functional
actions to resolve approval delays and
implementation barriers.

EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: BE/BTech Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
in related field
PREFERRED: Knowledge of product change management, manufacturing process,
Quality / problem solving tools,
QMS (ISO 9001 and IATF 16949), APQP and PPAP
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: 8+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering/Product change
notification or related engineering or
Manufacturing field
PREFERRED: Preferred experience as a PCN specialist, Component engineer, PCN coordinator, PCN Industry
specialist, AQP / Quality engineer
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED: Strong organizational skill to anticipate, plan, organize and
self-monitor workload.
Good people skills for effective leadership and team facilitation
Solid Knowledge & understanding of metrology, GD&T, Quality
reports (PPAP, first article report, Drop
test report, Material reports, Process capability studies, etc…
Able to travel (domestic and international) 5% - 10%
PREFERRED: Working knowledge of electronic assembly, testing, molding, stamping, plating, and assembly processes
