Job Description
Koch Technology is seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Infrastructure Leader – Network (WAN) to drive the strategic vision and operational excellence of Koch’s global WAN ecosystem.
This role will lead WAN transformation initiatives, including SD-WAN and SASE architectures leveraging Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), enabling secure, scalable, and high-performance connectivity across enterprise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
What You Will Do
Strategic Product Leadership
- Develop and maintain WAN infrastructure roadmap aligned with global connectivity needs
- Drive WAN transformation initiatives including SD-WAN, SASE, and Zero Trust architectures (Zscaler integration)
- Lead adoption of cloud-delivered security models (ZIA/ZPA) with SD-WAN
- Design and implement secure WAN architectures integrating SD-WAN with Zscaler for internet breakout and private access
- Lead decision-making on WAN modernization, vendor strategy, and circuit optimization
- Provide technical leadership across routing (BGP/OSPF), WAN optimization, and secure access frameworks
- Stay ahead of trends like SASE, Zero Trust, and cloud-native networking
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with IT Ops, Security, and Cloud teams to deliver integrated SD-WAN + Zscaler solutions
- Collaborate with ISPs, telecom vendors, and Zscaler partners for optimized connectivity and security
- Act as a key interface for leadership, presenting WAN strategy and transformation updates
- Ensure seamless integration of WAN with cloud and Zero Trust security frameworks
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead and mentor WAN engineering, architecture, and product teams
- Drive capability building in SD-WAN and Zscaler-based SASE architectures
- Foster innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Apply Koch’s PBM philosophy to drive performance and value
Operational Excellence
- Define and monitor KPIs: latency, uptime, packet loss, bandwidth utilization
- Ensure SLA adherence and high availability of WAN services
- Drive proactive monitoring using WAN observability tools
- Establish incident management and root cause analysis processes
- Optimize performance of SD-WAN with Zscaler enforcement nodes
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience as a WAN / Network Leader in global enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in:
- MPLS, DIA, Broadband, Hybrid WAN
- SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, etc.)
- Zscaler (ZIA – Internet Access, ZPA – Private Access)
- Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Experience in SD-WAN + cloud security (SASE) deployments
- Strong understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams
- Experience in IT frameworks (ITIL, Agile, PMP)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Hands-on experience in SD-WAN + Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) integrated architectures
