Role: Manager, Packaging Compliance

Global Engineering Services (GES) is a corporate shared services
organization based at GTC Bangalore, providing engineering services and
solutions to global product design teams. GES acts as a strategic service
and solution partner, supporting product engineering organizations across
regions.
The Centralized Packaging Design (CPD) team, part of GES, partners closely
with Product Engineering teams to transform packaging through
innovation‑driven and cost‑effective design solutions. CPD focuses on
delivering first‑time‑right packaging designs by providing end‑to‑end
packaging design and engineering support, from concept development through
validation and implementation.
Who You Are (Qualifications & Experience)

Bachelor’s or master’s degree
in engineering or Packaging.

5 years of experience
in packaging development and good knowledge of packaging compliance, and
regulatory requirements across regional and global markets.

Strong knowledge
of PLM systems, including their functionality and workflows, with
experience in developing frameworks for new tool creation, database
design, and generating analytical reports.

Experience in sustainability
and/or regulatory affairs related to packaging is strongly preferred.

Proven ability
to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross‑functional
teams.

Strong knowledge
of packaging‑related regulations, environmental laws, and Extended
Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements.
-
Familiarity with ISTA, ASTM, and ISO standards
applicable to packaging.

Understanding of sustainability principles
, including environmentally compliant materials and packaging systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Analytical mindset
with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective
solutions.

Strong organizational skills
to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional
team environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point & Power BI
.

Working knowledge of material selection
, packaging manufacturing process.

What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities)

Act as the single, enterprise-wide owner of packaging compliance, with a
clear global mandate and defined decision rights.

Establish and maintain a global governance framework for packaging
requirements, roles, and accountability across all BUs.

Serve as the primary escalation and decision authority for
packaging-related compliance risks and conflicts.
-
Monitor, interpret, and translate external regulatory, customer, and
sustainability requirements into clear, actionable internal packaging
standards.
-
Perform regulatory applicability reviews, interpret and implement
regulatory requirements, and provide oversight, using a risk-based,
principle-driven approach.

Ensure packaging requirements related to material disclosure, reporting,
recyclability, source reduction, and audit readiness are formally embedded
in global packaging specifications.

Represent Molex on corporate, Koch, and external forums related to
packaging compliance and source reduction, ensuring alignment and due
diligence.

Own and govern global packaging specifications, ensuring consistency,
regulatory compliance, and auditability across the enterprise.

Drive consistent interpretation and application of packaging requirements
across all regions and business units.

Partner with Packaging Design, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure
standards are implementable and effectively deployed.

Establish end‑to‑end visibility into packaging materials used across the
organization to support risk identification, mitigation, and informed
decision-making.

Ensure traceable documentation and defensible data to support customer
inquiries, regulatory audits, and internal reviews.
-
Proactively identify, assess, escalate, and close enterprise packaging
compliance gaps and systemic risks.
-
Lead alignment with BUs on packaging compliance roles, responsibilities,
reporting cadence, and performance metrics.

Enable BUs with guidance, tools, and clarity to ensure timely and
consistent execution of packaging requirements.

Collaborate with Business Units (BUs) to optimize packaging materials and
drive compliance with recycling and sustainability requirements.
-
Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (Engineering, Packaging, Supply
Chain, Sustainability, Quality, Legal) to ensure cohesive execution.

Support and govern enterprise-level packaging source reduction and
sustainability objectives.
-
Ensure outcomes are measurable, traceable, and defensible, with clear
linkage to external commitments and internal goals.

Drive continuous improvement by integrating compliance insights into
packaging strategy and design direction.
