Job Description:
The Project Engineer at KEL plays a pivotal role in overseeing the successful
execution of water and wastewater treatment projects from inception to
completion. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project
management skills, and strong communication abilities to ensure projects are
delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:

Document Management:

Establish, maintain, and update document control systems for all project
documentation.

Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory requirements and internal
quality standards.

Organize, categorize, and file engineering drawings, design documents,
technical manuals, and operational procedures.

Manage version control of documents to track changes and maintain the latest
revisions.
Document Distribution:

Distribute project documents to relevant stakeholders, including engineers,
contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Ensure timely access to documentation for project teams, especially during
critical project phases.
Compliance and Quality Control:

Maintain proper documentation for regulatory and environmental compliance in
water and wastewater treatment projects.

Support audits by ensuring that required documents are readily available and
accurate.
Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to
ensure all necessary documentation is updated and distributed.

Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely receipt
and distribution of project-related documents.
Database Management:

Maintain electronic databases of project documentation, ensuring backup and
recovery procedures are in place.

Ensure physical documentation is stored securely and is easy to access when
needed.
Reporting:

Generate regular reports on document control status, including overdue
documents and discrepancies.

Provide documentation status updates to management and project stakeholders.
Project Planning and Design:

Collaborate with clients, sales team, and internal stakeholders to
understand project requirements and objectives.

Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project scope
and specifications.
- Develop engineering schedules.
Project Management:

Create project schedules, budgets, and resource plans in coordination with
the project management team.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation
strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns.

Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to procure materials
and services as needed.

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to oversee construction
activities and ensure adherence to design specifications.

Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to keep them informed of
project status and address any concerns or issues promptly.

Provide technical support to clients during project implementation,
including equipment installation, startup, and operator training.

Address client inquiries and resolve technical issues in a timely and
professional manner.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a
related field.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team
environment.

Willingness to travel to project sites and attend client meetings as
required.
