Manager - Section In charge - Production Department

Job Purpose
To lead the assigned production section and ensure achievement of production, quality,
delivery, productivity, and cost targets while maintaining high standards of safety and
operational excellence.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
 Lead and supervise daily production activities in the assigned gear manufacturing
section.
 Ensure achievement of production targets, quality standards, and delivery
schedules.
 Manage operations of CNC, VMC, Hobbing, Shaping, Honing, and other gear
manufacturing machines.
 Optimize machine utilization, manpower deployment, productivity, OEE, and cycle
time.
 Monitor and control rejection, rework, downtime, and production losses through
timely corrective actions.
 Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and other departments for
smooth production flow.
 Drive continuous improvement through 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Visual Management,
and problem-solving tools.
 Implement productivity improvement, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, and
manpower optimization initiatives.
 Train, guide, and develop engineers, supervisors, operators, and shop-floor
employees.
 Review production MIS and shift-wise performance and take corrective action
against target shortfalls.
 Ensure compliance with process standards, SOPs, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO
45001, safety requirements, and company policies.

 Drive departmental performance in line with QCDSM objectives
