To meet the targets in collaboration with the marketing and technical teams.
To develop long-term and short-term strategies to ensure Logistics operates effectively and efficiently.
Strengthening existing vendor source & developing alternate/back up suppliers.
Work with operations and sales to determine supply/demand needs for transportation logistics for both current and future opportunities.
Responsible for Packaging and Loading of the Finished Products.
Responsible for dispatching the finished product through approved transporters and monitoring from Loading at Krofta Factory to Unloading at Client site.
Monitoring all the stages and review the shipment performance at the end of each shipment.
Identify the leverage opportunities across the supply chain to improve efficiencies and reduce costs: Coordinate with Custom House Agents, C&F Agents and other external agencies for ensuring timely clearances and cost-effective transport solutions.
Prepare efficient internal control systems to keep track of Strategic Supply Chain performance metrics. Participate in transporter management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
Ensure transporter compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of transportation services.
Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities.
Conduct or review ISO audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation.
Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
Should have handled Domestic as well International logistics.
Planning: Candidate must have good analytical and planning skills to establish supply requirements. They review demand forecasts with the marketing team and manufacturing schedules with the production management team. They establish supply schedules and communicate requirements to members of the supply chain. They aim to ensure that all essential supplies are available when needed so that the company can meet market requirements. To control costs, they must also minimize unnecessary stock.
Communication: To ensure that supply chain members can respond quickly when market conditions change, managers must develop effective communication processes. They would need to work closely with technical specialists to integrate the diverse networks and communication systems that different members of the supply chain use.
Relationships: Supply chain manager would aim to build mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers so that the entire supply chain works in a cooperative way. Instead of constantly changing suppliers to find the lowest prices, supply chain manager should build longer-term relationships with suppliers that offer quality, value, a willingness to collaborate and the flexibility to meet changing supply requirements.
