Job Title: Partnerships & Communications Manager, THE BRIJ
Location: New Delhi
Reporting To: Senior Leadership
Role Overview
The Partnerships & Communications Manager will be responsible for building
strategic partnerships and managing all external communications for THE BRIJ.
This role sits at the intersection of relationship-building, storytelling,
visibility, and brand stewardship, ensuring the organisation’s programmes,
collaborators, and values are effectively represented across platforms and
stakeholders. The role requires a professional who is equally comfortable
developing partnerships, working with PR agencies, and leading communication
strategy within a creative and cultural environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Partnerships & Strategic Alliances
•
Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with institutions,
cultural organisations, foundations, brands, corporates, embassies, and
knowledge partners.
•
Support leadership in conceptualising partnership frameworks, proposals,
decks, and collaboration models.
•
Manage communication and coordination with existing partners, ensuring clarity
of expectations, deliverables, and timelines.
•
Draft and review MoUs, partnership announcements, and joint communication
plans.
•
Act as the key point of contact for partners on communications, visibility,
and public-facing engagements.
•
Support sponsorship and fundraising communications where required, in
alignment with Serendipity Arts’ ethos.
2. Communications Strategy & Brand Positioning
•
Develop and implement a holistic communications strategy for THE BRIJ, aligned
with the vision of Serendipity Arts.
•
Shape and maintain THE BRIJ’s brand voice, positioning, and narrative across
all channels.
•
Translate artistic, curatorial, and institutional objectives into clear,
compelling public communication.
•
Ensure consistency of messaging across programmes, partnerships, residencies,
events, and publications.
3. PR & Media Relations
•
Plan and execute PR strategies for programmes, residencies, exhibitions,
public events, collaborations, and institutional milestones.
•
Liaise with and manage external PR agencies, consultants, and freelancers:
•
Prepare and share briefs
•
Review press materials and media pitches
•
Track deliverables and timelines
•
Evaluate agency performance
•
Build and sustain relationships with journalists, editors, cultural writers,
critics, and key media stakeholders.
•
Draft and edit press releases, media notes, pitches, talking points, and media
kits.
•
Coordinate interviews, press visits, previews, and media interactions.
•
Monitor media coverage and prepare press reports and visibility analyses.
4. Content Development & Editorial Oversight
•
Oversee creation of all external-facing content, including:
•
Website and newsletter copy
•
Programme and residency descriptions
•
Artist, curator, and partner profiles
•
Editorial features and essays
•
Institutional decks and presentations
•
Ensure high editorial standards and alignment with tone, context, and
audience.
•
Collaborate with designers, photographers, and videographers for cohesive
storytelling.
5. Digital & Marketing Coordination (Strategic Role)
•
Work closely with internal or external digital teams to align communications
and partnerships with social media, website, and email campaigns.
•
Provide content direction and campaign positioning for key announcements and
launches.
•
Support audience development through targeted communication strategies.
6. Stakeholder & Internal Coordination
•
Act as a bridge between programming, partnerships, PR agencies, digital teams,
and leadership.
•
Support internal communication flows to ensure all teams are aligned on
messaging and timelines.
•
Prepare presentations, briefs, and reports for internal stakeholders and
leadership reviews.
7. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
•
Track outcomes for partnerships and communications using qualitative and
quantitative metrics.
•
Maintain databases including partner lists, media contacts, communication
calendars, and trackers.
•
Prepare regular communications and partnerships reports, post‑event summaries,
and evaluations.
Skills & Competencies
Core Skills
•
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional
languages are a plus).
•
Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑management abilities.
•

PR, Partnerships & Software Proficiency
•
Proven experience working with external PR agencies and managing agency
workflows.
•
Proficiency in MS Office Suite:

Microsoft PowerPoint – proposals, decks, presentations
✓
Microsoft Excel – trackers, reports, media lists, budgets
•
Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
•
Familiarity with media monitoring and PR tools (Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack,
or similar).
•
Experience with email marketing / CRM tools (Mailchimp, Zoho, HubSpot or
similar).
•
Working knowledge of project management tools (Asana, Trello, Notion, Slack,
or equivalents).
•
Basic understanding of CMS platforms (WordPress or similar).
•
Comfort reviewing analytics, engagement metrics, and media coverage reports.
Experience & Qualifications
•
7–10 years of experience in partnerships, communications, PR, or strategic
relations.
•
Prior experience in arts, culture, creative industries, hospitality,
festivals, or mission‑driven organisations strongly preferred.
•
Demonstrated experience managing institutional partnerships and public-facing
communication simultaneously.
•
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Arts Management, Humanities,
Marketing, Cultural Studies, or a related field.
