Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – N.P.D & Supply Chain

1. Job Description -
 Review all NPD activities with cross-functional teams (CFT) on a daily basis. Support
new product introduction from design to production.
 Coordinate with design and production teams for manufacturability (DFM). Design and
develop fixtures, jigs, and tooling for CNC and VMC machining. Optimize fixture setups
to improve machining accuracy and cycle time. Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts,
and work-holding methods. Ensure fixtures meet safety, quality, and productivity
requirements.
 Coordinate, communicate, and monitor projects daily for New Projects, VA/VE Projects,
and Mass Production ECN changes.
 Ensure on-time delivery of projects with coordination of Quality, Engineering, Supply
Chain, and Suppliers.
 Manage commodities like forging, machining, and sheet metal parts. Skilled in strategic
sourcing, vendor development, and product development with FMEA-based risk
minimization.
 Track production and job work schedules against timelines. Ensure completion, follow-
ups, delay handling, and KPI reporting.
 Freeze costing norms with suppliers to streamline procurement and improve cost
efficiency.
 Lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
 Work with Production, Planning, Quality, and Logistics for alignment and updates.
 Ensure APQP at supplier end for timely delivery.
 Implement vendor development programs for supply chain strengthening and cost
reduction.
