This is a high-impact leadership role where the selected candidate will directly partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive engineering strategy, execution, scalability, and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Complete Technology Stack

Our client is looking for someone who can take complete ownership of:

Mobile applications (Android & iOS)
Web platform and ecommerce systems
Backend architecture and APIs
Internal operational tools
Order management systems
Inventory and logistics technology
Payment integrations
Routing and fulfillment systems
Infrastructure and cloud environments

Drive Engineering Excellence

Build and improve engineering processes for faster product releases
Ensure high-quality deployments with strong reliability and scalability
Improve engineering velocity while balancing speed and quality
Establish strong coding, architecture, and review practices
Lead technical decision-making across products and platforms

Scale Technology for Growth

Design scalable systems capable of supporting multi-city expansion
Improve platform stability, performance, and operational efficiency
Build future-ready architecture for large-scale consumer usage
Optimize infrastructure and platform reliability

Build & Lead Engineering Teams

Hire and mentor strong engineering talent
Build a high-performance engineering culture
Work closely with product, operations, and leadership teams
Develop technical roadmaps aligned with business growth

Must Have Skills & Experience

Our client is specifically looking for candidates with:

Strong experience leading engineering teams in consumer technology companies
Experience building and scaling mobile-first products
Strong understanding of Android ecosystems and mobile architectures
Hands-on expertise across frontend, backend, mobile, and infrastructure
Experience with scalable cloud-based systems and DevOps environments
Strong system architecture and distributed systems knowledge
Experience managing engineering delivery and release cycles
Team hiring and people management experience
Ability to remain hands-on with coding and technical reviews when required

Preferred Background

Experience in ecommerce, marketplace, hyperlocal, logistics, D2C, or quick-commerce platforms
Exposure to high-growth startup environments
Prior experience scaling products across multiple geographies
Strong understanding of operational technology stacks

Educational Background

Candidates from strong engineering institutes are preferred, including:
