Job Description – Finance Controller for (Dangal TV)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Controller to manage and oversee the organization’s financial reporting, accounting, compliance, controls, and financial planning activities. The ideal candidate should be a qualified CA with 5–6 years of relevant post-qualification experience , preferably with experience in a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Manage the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting function.
Ensure accurate and timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books.
Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and MIS reports .
Analyze financial performance and highlight key variances to management.
Ensure compliance with applicable Ind AS / accounting standards .

2. Financial Controls & Governance

Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and processes .
Identify financial risks and implement appropriate control measures.
Monitor accounting processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
Drive process improvements and automation within the finance function.

3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory requirements .
Coordinate with tax consultants and external advisors.
Support tax assessments, audits, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records.

4. Audit Management

Lead and coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits .
Work closely with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
Provide required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.

5. MIS & Business Finance

Prepare monthly MIS and management reports .
Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
Monitor budgets, expenses, working capital, and cash flows.
Track key financial KPIs and provide variance analysis.

6. Treasury & Working Capital

Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working capital requirements .
Oversee bank reconciliations and banking relationships.
Ensure effective management of receivables, payables, and cash balances.

7. Team & Stakeholder Management

Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team.
Coordinate with business, operations, HR, legal, and other internal stakeholders.
Work closely with senior management on financial matters and business initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) .
5–6 years of post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts.
Strong experience in financial accounting, reporting, MIS, taxation, audit and financial controls .
Good understanding of Ind AS and statutory compliance .
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems and MS Excel .
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
