About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Policy
Advocacy and Government Affairs function. As the Senior Manager, you will be
responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to influence
policy development and regulations impacting our industry. You will also play
a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with government
officials, industry stakeholders, and key opinion leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive policy advocacy strategy aligned with
the organization's strategic objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify key policy issues impacting the
industry.
- Prepare position papers, presentations, and other communication materials to
advocate for the organization's policy priorities.
- Represent the organization at government meetings, hearings, and other
stakeholder events.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials,
industry stakeholders, and key opinion leaders.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the industry and
provide timely updates to key stakeholders.
- Manage the organization's budget for policy advocacy and government affairs
activities.
- Develop and manage a team of professionals to support the organization's
policy advocacy and government affairs initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, International Relations,
Indian Company Law, Indian Law or related field.
- Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in policy advocacy and government
affairs, preferably within a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully influencing policy development and
regulations.
Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse
stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of the political landscape and government processes.
- Familiarity with the industry and its key stakeholders (preferred but not
mandatory).
