Position Overview
The Procurement Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and
procuring raw materials, fabricated components, bought-out items, and services
required for manufacturing water and wastewater treatment equipment. The role
demands strong commercial acumen, supplier relationship management, and
coordination with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure
timely and cost-effective material availability.
Key Responsibilities

Source and procure various raw materials including mechanical, electrical,
and instrumentation components used in water treatment equipment (e.g.,
pumps, valves, tanks, pressure vessels, control panels, PLCs, etc.).

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors for bought out items.

Float enquiries, obtain quotations, prepare techno-commercial comparisons,
and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.

Prepare and issue Purchase Orders in line with approved budgets and
specifications.

Monitor order progress and coordinate expediting to ensure on-time delivery.

Maintain accurate procurement records and update ERP system.

Liaise with design, production and project management teams to clarify
technical requirements and specifications.

Ensure compliance with company quality standards and vendor evaluation
criteria.

Assist in inventory management by aligning procurement with production
schedules.

Support vendor audits, cost analysis, and continuous improvement
initiatives.

Track market trends, price movements, and alternative sources for key
materials.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering, or Supply
Chain Management.
Experience:
4–5 years in industrial procurement, preferably in water treatment, process
equipment, or fabrication-based manufacturing industry.
Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of fabrication drawings, mechanical components, and standard
bought-out items.

Familiarity with procurement of stainless steel, mild steel, fasteners,
pumps, valves, motors, and electrical panels.

Experience with ERP systems and MS Excel for data analysis and tracking.
