Role Overview

Shift start from: 6.30/7 AM till 8 hrs in a day

Location: India (Remote)
Employment Type : Full-time

The QA Lead is responsible for defining, implementing, and leading quality assurance practices across projects, ensuring high-quality delivery of enterprise applications, integrations, and data platforms. This role combines hands-on testing leadership , test strategy ownership , and stakeholder collaboration , working closely with delivery, architecture, and business teams.

The QA Lead will establish fit-for-purpose test frameworks, drive automation where appropriate, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Governance

• Define and own the overall QA and testing strategy across projects
• Establish test standards, processes, and quality metrics
• Ensure alignment with delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, waterfall)
• Implement risk-based testing approaches aligned to business criticality

Test Planning & Execution

• Lead test planning across SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test coverage
• Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and vendors
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects

Test Automation & Tooling

• Define the test automation approach and roadmap
• Oversee implementation of automation frameworks and tools
• Integrate testing with CI/CD pipelines where applicable

Defect & Quality Management

• Own defect management processes and quality reporting
• Analyse defect trends and drive root cause analysis
• Provide clear quality insights and go/no-go recommendations
• Ensure production readiness and release confidence

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

• Act as the primary QA point of contact for business and delivery stakeholders
• Lead and mentor QA analysts and test engineers
• Collaborate closely with product owners, BAs, architects, and developers
• Support UAT facilitation and business readiness

Skills and Experience

Essential

·         7+ years in QA/testing roles with at least 2–3 years in a QA Lead or Test Manager role

·         Strong experience defining test strategies and test governance

·         Hands-on experience across manual and automated testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon or others.

·         Experience with complex enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, integration platforms, data platforms)

·         Experience with ALM tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps

·         Strong understanding of Agile and SDLC best practices

·         Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills

Desirable

·         Experience in higher education, government, or regulated environments

·         Integration and API testing experience

·         Experience with AI based testing automation frameworks

·         Data validation and reporting testing experience
