Job Description – Deputy General Manager (Finance)
Position: Deputy General Manager – Finance
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & MIS
- Preparation and presentation of monthly MIS reports for management review.
- Preparation of monthly standalone and consolidated Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow statements.
- Ensure consolidation of financial statements of subsidiary companies in compliance with accounting standards.
Budgeting & Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis exercise.
- Provide financial insights for strategic planning, cost optimization, and profitability improvement.
- Support management in short-term and long-term business planning.
Banking, Treasury & Funding
- Manage working capital loans, term loans, and other financial facilities.
- Negotiate and liaise with banks, NBFCs and financial institutions to secure funding at effective/competitive interest rates.
- Monitor fund utilization, repayment schedules, interest costs and covenants compliance.
- Ensure optimum treasury management for cash flow efficiency.
- Preparation of CMA & Business Plan.
Inventory & Cost Management
- Oversee inventory accounting, valuation and controls to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels, slow-moving items, and reconciliation of physical vs. book records.
- Support cost management initiatives across production and supply chain.
Capex & Fixed Assets
- Prepare and monitor Capex proposals, feasibility analysis, and utilization reports.
- Maintain and update Fixed Asset Register (FAR) in compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
- Oversee capitalization, depreciation, and asset tagging.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST and other statutory requirements.
- Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and group finance teams.
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and risk management processes.
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and guide the Finance & Accounts team for effective delivery.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and top management to provide financial support for decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to corporate headquarters and stakeholders.

Qualification
CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)
Experience
7+ years in finance & accounts, preferably in manufacturing / auto industry
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS), consolidation, and financial reporting.
- Expertise in budgeting, planning, MIS, and inventory management.
- Experience in Capex evaluation, FAR management, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), MS Excel, and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
