Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
As an Engineering Manager at Hevo, you will be pivotal in revolutionizing how companies leverage data to improve user experiences and drive growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Design and implement scalable architecture for platform services and database connectors, focusing on performance and reliability.
- Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to define clear requirements and specifications.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the platform at the forefront of innovation.
- Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment strategies.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in software engineering with a focus on backend development and system architecture.
- Proven track record of managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data engineering or ETL processes is a significant advantage.
