AI Backend Engineer

Job Summary:

As an AI Backend Engineer at thinkbridge, you will leverage your expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to design and develop intelligent applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). This role is crucial in shaping scalable backend services that enhance our innovative digital solutions and empower our growth-stage clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
Build and integrate LLM-powered applications with platforms like OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Anthropic.
Develop AI Agents and multi-agent workflows tailored to diverse business use cases.
Implement RAG pipelines, focusing on embeddings, retrieval, and vector search.
Integrate vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, and Milvus.
Implement tool calling and external API integrations for enhanced AI capabilities.
Ensure that AI services are reliable, secure, and production-ready through effective collaboration with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams.

Requirements:

4-8 years of experience in Backend Engineering or Software Development.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
Proficient in developing LLMs and Generative AI applications.
Experience with AI Agents and Agentic Workflows.
Understanding of RAG and vector databases.
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI tool integrations.
Strong problem-solving skills along with effective communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience building production-grade enterprise AI applications.
Proficiency in developing custom MCP servers and tools.
Familiarity with multi-agent architectures.
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure OpenAI or AWS Bedrock.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes.
