Static Timing Analysis (STA) Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Static Timing Analysis (STA) Engineer to enhance our ASIC Physical Design team in Bangalore. This role is crucial in ensuring timing closure and successful signoff methodologies, enabling our cutting-edge semiconductor solutions to thrive in advanced technology nodes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform static timing analysis on complex designs to ensure timing convergence and compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with RTL, Physical Design, DFT, and Design teams to identify and resolve timing issues throughout the design cycle.
Develop and maintain STA methodologies and scripts to support signoff processes across various technology nodes.
Utilize advanced EDA tools for timing verification, and participate in tape-out activities to ensure design integrity.
Document and communicate timing results and findings to cross-functional teams effectively.
Continuously enhance timing closure processes, methodologies, and tools for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
4-10 years of experience in Static Timing Analysis in the semiconductor or VLSI design industry.
Strong knowledge of STA tools and methodologies, with hands-on experience in industry-leading EDA tools.
Experience in timing closure, signoff methodologies, and understanding of the latest technology nodes.
Proficient in scripting languages such as TCL or Perl to automate STA processes.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with physical design flow and methodologies, including DFT (Design for Test) knowledge.
Familiarity with power analysis and low-power design techniques.
Exposure to formal verification and performance optimization techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment, and manage multiple projects effectively.
