General Manager – IT Infrastructure

Job Description:
The GM – IT Infrastructure will own, stabilize, and future-proof the entire IT
backbone of the organization. This role ensures 24×7 uptime, data security,
regulatory compliance, and scalability across diagnostic labs, collection
centres, radiology units, and corporate offices—while enabling business
growth, digital adoption, and patient trust.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure & Operations

End-to-end ownership of data centres, servers, networks, storage, endpoints,
and cloud infrastructure.

Ensure high availability of LIS, HIS, RIS, PACS, ERP, billing, and reporting
systems.

Manage uptime SLAs across labs, hospitals, collection centres, and
diagnostic hubs.

Drive capacity planning and infrastructure scalability aligned with business
expansion.
2. Network, Systems & Cloud
- Design and manage LAN/WAN/MPLS/VPN/Wi-Fi across multiple locations.

Oversee on-prem + cloud/hybrid environments (AWS/Azure/GCP as applicable).

Ensure secure integration between diagnostic machines, middleware, and core
systems.
- Lead system upgrades, refresh cycles, and technology standardization.
3. Information Security & Compliance
- Own IT security, cybersecurity posture, and risk mitigation.

Implement and monitor ISO 27001, HIPAA-like controls, data privacy, and
healthcare compliance.

Lead DR (Disaster Recovery) and BCP (Business Continuity Planning) with
regular drills.
- Manage audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
4. Vendor & Partner Management

Manage OEMs, ISPs, system integrators, cloud partners, and cybersecurity
vendors.
- Drive commercial negotiations, renewals, and cost optimization.
- Ensure vendors meet SLAs and quality benchmarks.
5. Team Leadership & Governance

Lead and mentor infra, network, system admin, and IT operations teams.
- Build SOPs, escalation matrices, and governance frameworks.

Drive a culture of operational discipline, documentation, and
accountability.
Education
- BE / BTech / MCA (Computer Science, IT, Electronics)
- MBA or ITIL / PMP / CISSP certifications preferred
Experience
- 12–18 years of experience in IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Minimum 5–7 years in a senior leadership role
- Experience managing multi-location, mission-critical IT setups
