Job Summary:
The Demand Manager for the Downstream Aluminium Business is pivotal to our success, ensuring that customer demands are met while optimizing supply chain efficiency. This role will directly impact our overall business performance by integrating market insights with operational capabilities to drive demand planning and management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement demand planning processes to align with business objectives and market trends.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to forecast demand accurately and manage inventory levels.
- Analyze market data and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and inform strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and report on demand metrics, adjusting plans to reflect changing conditions and customer needs.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to discuss demand trends and coordinate action plans.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and forecasting software to enhance demand planning accuracy.
- Support the continuous improvement of demand management processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and produce actionable insights.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and tools, such as SAP, Kinaxis, or Oracle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing demand challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Experience in the aluminium or metal industry would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for operational excellence.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members in demand management practices.
- Certification in APICS, CPIM, or similar supply chain credentials is preferred.
