Team Managed: Assistant Vice President, Senior Fund Accountants, Fund Accountants
We are seeking a strategic and transformational leader to head our Private Equity Fund Accounting function . This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity, operational excellence, and best-in-class investor servicing across a diverse portfolio of private equity funds, including buyout, growth, venture, co-invest, and secondaries strategies.
The Vice President will own the end-to-end fund accounting operating model , including financial reporting, capital activity operations, valuations, compliance, technology enablement, and people leadership. The role requires a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence across senior stakeholders including Deal Teams, Investor Relations, Tax, Compliance, and external auditors.
This is a leadership position for a high-impact finance professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced, and evolving environments.
Lead monthly and quarterly fund close processes across multiple funds and vehicles.
Deliver accurate and timely financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS .
Oversee capital calls, distributions, equalizations, and side-letter economics.
Ensure robust valuation processes under ASC 820 / IFRS 13 and oversee waterfall calculations including carried interest, preferred return, and catch-ups.
Partner with Tax and Compliance teams to support AIFMD, Form PF, FATCA/CRS, and other regulatory filings .
Establish and maintain global accounting policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma principles to reduce cycle time and manual interventions.
Serve as the senior escalation point for LP queries and complex reporting matters.
Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, administrators, and deal teams.
Lead onboarding of new funds, investors, and transitions between administrators.
Prepare executive-level dashboards, variance analyses, and board-ready materials.
Ensure SLAs are met for reporting, capital activities, and investor communications.
Own and optimize the fund accounting technology roadmap, including GL, waterfall, and BI tools.
Drive automation across capital calls, distributions, and carried interest calculations.
Establish strong data governance frameworks with standardized data architecture.
Implement SOX-style controls, segregation of duties, and audit trails.
Build scalable operating models capable of supporting multi-currency and complex fund structures.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team.
Build succession plans and structured career development pathways.
Optimize workforce planning across onshore and offshore teams.
Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and psychological safety.
Support professional certifications (CPA/ACA/CFA) and technical upskilling.
On-time delivery of financial statements and investor reports
Reduction in close cycle time and manual touchpoints

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA/ACA preferred
Experience: Minimum 14+ years in Private Equity or Alternative Investments
Proven experience managing multi-fund portfolios and complex structures
Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, ASC 946, ASC 820, waterfalls, carried interest, equalizations, and side letters
Hands-on experience with platforms such as Investran, Allvue, eFront, Yardi, Workiva, Power BI/Tableau, Alteryx/RPA
Demonstrated ability to lead global teams and drive transformation initiatives
