Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Principal .NET Backend Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale backend applications using ASP.NET Core, C#, and Microservices within Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architecture, significantly impacting the organization through innovative solutions and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Architect cloud-native Microservices and Distributed Systems on Microsoft Azure.
• Design secure, high-performance REST APIs and event-driven applications.
• Lead architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentoring to team members.
• Design and implement messaging solutions leveraging Azure Service Bus.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD processes, AKS deployments, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines within the organization.
• Review AI-generated code to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on C# and .NET (including .NET 8 / .NET Core).
• Proficient in ASP.NET Core Web API, Dependency Injection, Middleware Pipeline, and Background Services.
• Strong understanding of Microservices, Distributed Systems, and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with Azure services including Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Service Bus.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and ORM tools such as Entity Framework Core and Dapper.
• Experience with DevOps practices including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of security practices including JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and OWASP Top 10.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in System Design and Microservices Architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns (Strategy, Factory), and Dependency Injection.
• Practical experience with ASP.NET Core Middleware and Distributed Systems.
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot production issues using effective methodologies.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development technologies and principles.
