Role Overview
We are looking for a Data / Business Analyst to support business decision-making through data analysis, P&L analysis, MIS, reporting and business insights.
The role will involve working closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement, Vendors and other stakeholders to analyse business performance and provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business and financial data to identify trends, opportunities and areas of improvement.
- Prepare and analyse P&L, revenue, cost and profitability reports.
- Develop and maintain regular MIS, dashboards and management reports.
- Perform data crunching, reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Track key business KPIs across Online, B2B and Retail channels.
- Support management with business performance analysis and decision-making insights.
- Analyse sales, margins, expenses, inventory and other business metrics.
- Coordinate with Finance / Accounts for general accounting data and reconciliations.
- Monitor vendor performance and prepare relevant MIS.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for data collection and validation.
- Identify data gaps and process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based analytical models and reports.
- Support special projects and business analysis requirements as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- B.Com / MBA from a reputed institution.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, MIS, P&L Analysis, Finance or related roles.
- Strong understanding of P&L, accounting concepts and business performance metrics.
- Excellent MS Excel skills with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to convert large volumes of data into meaningful business insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
- Experience in vendor management will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
