About the role

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-caliber DevOps Engineer who bridges the gap between infrastructure management and backend development. This isn't a traditional "Ops" role; we need a builder who understands the Django/Python ecosystem and can architect secure, scalable, and automated delivery pipelines on Azure. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our applications, from networking and security to high-availability deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Orchestration: Design and manage enterprise-grade Azure environments using App Services, Functions, and Static Web Apps.
Secure Networking: Architect robust network security using VNets, Application Gateways, and Private Endpoints to ensure zero-trust connectivity.
Automated CI/CD: Build, maintain, and optimize sophisticated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive "Infrastructure-as-Code" practices to automate resource provisioning, ensuring environments are reproducible and cost-efficient.
Security & Governance: Manage sensitive data and secrets via Azure Key Vault and implement strict identity management across all cloud resources.
Backend Collaboration: Work closely with the backend team to optimize Python/Django application performance, containerization, and database (SQL Server) scaling.
Monitoring & Reliability: Establish proactive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure 99.9% uptime and rapid incident response.

Technical Requirements

Azure Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with the Azure ecosystem, specifically focused on PaaS offerings and networking (VNets/App Gateway).
Automation: Proficiency in GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines for complex, multi-stage deployments.
Programming: Strong scripting and backend skills in Python. Familiarity with the Django framework is a significant advantage.
Databases: Experience managing and optimizing Azure SQL / SQL Server.
Tools: Expertise in Docker, Git, and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor/Log Analytics).
Soft Skills: Analytical rigour, a "security-first" mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
