Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Staff AI Engineer to join our innovative team. This role is pivotal in advancing our agentic AI initiatives, deploying state-of-the-art solutions in production environments, and ensuring optimal performance and scalability of our AI systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop low-latency web services using FastAPI to support our AI applications.
Implement and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) for various production use cases, ensuring they behave effectively in real-world scenarios.
Analyze and monitor the performance of AI models in production, providing insightful feedback for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive AI outcomes and integrate models into existing systems.
Own the end-to-end development process, from ideation and model training to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Utilize DevOps best practices to automate deployment pipelines and enhance system reliability.
Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.

Requirements:

6-8 years of experience in AI engineering or related fields with a strong focus on agentic AI.
Demonstrable expertise in working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and understanding their internal mechanics.
Proficiency in designing and deploying low-latency web services using FastAPI.
Experience in production environments, with a track record of successfully deploying AI systems.
Basic understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills, allowing effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Exposure to advanced AI techniques such as reinforcement learning or transfer learning.
Prior experience in mentoring and leading technical teams.
Publications or contributions to open-source projects in the AI domain will be considered a plus.
